Devonport has a number of interesting attractions close to the City Centre including aboriginal rock engravings, a maritime museum which traces the history of the region dating back from white settlement and a 7 km cycle/walking track which extends around the picturesque foreshore from the City past the Olympic Swimming Pool to the historic Don River Railway.


Known as the platypus capital of the world, this rural town is also home to the House of Anvers Chocolate Factory. Beautifully restored historic buildings and shopfronts line the main street. Home to the Australian Axeman’s Hall of Fame. The town has 76 heritage-listed buildings, which can be explored on a guided historic walk down Gilbert Street.


Concealed in the foothills of majestic Mount Roland is the enterprising town of Sheffield, where history and art merge to create an entire town of murals. An ideal base for bushwalking. The town of murals tells the story of the north-west.


Deloraine is a delightful rural town set in the foothills of the Great Western Tiers mountain range in Tasmania’s north. The town is classified by the National Trust and is home to the Tasmanian Craft Fair.
